Hiba Ahmed

Mrs. Hiba Ahmed will be joining Al Fatih Academy this year as a Grade 2 Homeroom teacher. She holds a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Bachelors of Science in Family Science -- both from the University of Maryland, College Park. This will be her third year as a homeroom teacher, but Mrs. Hiba has been working with children at the elementary level for the last 10 years -- including as an ELL Mentor in Prince George’s County Title I elementary schools, as well as a Preschool Assistant at the Center for Young Children research center in College Park, MD. She is an educator whose experiences inside and outside the classroom have cultivated her passion for empowering children to recognize and grow into their own strengths. Though originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Mrs. Hiba recently completed her 2nd year at The Qalam Seminary in Dallas, Texas and has moved to Virginia to continue her work integrating a foundational love of Allah and Islam into her teaching and time with children! She enjoys reading historical fiction and fantasy novels, baking cookies, and spending time with her three fluffy cats.
