Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten Admission Criteria

Age Requirements

Bathroom Awareness

At Al Fatih Academy, we prioritize the development and well-being of our young learners. For admission to our Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten class, we consider the independence of each child in bathroom-related skills as a crucial prerequisite.

For a child to be considered "potty-trained" and ready for our Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten class, we expect the following level of independence:
  • Bathroom Awareness: The child should have the awareness to use the bathroom without reminders.
  • Clothing Management: They should be able to routinely manage their clothes without assistance.
  • Personal Hygiene:The child should demonstrate the ability to wipe or clean themselves appropriately, ensuring clean and hygienic practices.
Ensuring these skills are in place not only contributes to the child's confidence and self-reliance but also fosters a comfortable and positive learning environment for both the child and their peers. We believe that these foundational skills are an essential part of a child's early development and contribute to a successful and enjoyable learning experience.

Hifdh Program

At Al Fatih Academy, Quran memorization is an integral part of our regular curriculum. Our morning Hifdh program is designed for students who wish to supplement or advance at a faster pace.

While the curriculum doesn't focus on making students hafiz of the Quran, it provides a foundation in recitation and memorization rules, supporting a lifetime of independent memorization.

The program is available to students who are currently enrolled in our Kindergarten - Grade 8 classes. Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten students are not eligible for registration. Hifdh students meet Monday- Friday 7:25 am-8:20 am.

Enrolling families may register for this program during enrollmnent season. Space permitting, familes may also join later in the schoolyear. There is an additional fee for the program.

Afterschool Clubs

A variety of afterschool programs are available throughout the school year and vary by quarter. Parents may register their currently enrolled students through the AFA Parent App.
