Abidah Ali

Abidah Ali is the Student Life & Wellness Coordinator and Middle school Girls PE Teacher at AFA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida, and a Masters of Arts in Islamic Studies from Chicago Theological Seminary through Bayan Islamic Graduate school. She is a graduate of Tayseer Seminary's  One Year Islamic Studies program and their one Year Arabic and Hadith Studies program. With more than a decade of experience in youth development, Abidah has worked extensively with youth, young adults, and families through mentoring, pastoral care, and educational programming. Her work is rooted in connecting students to the Prophetic tradition while honoring their lived experiences and cultural backgrounds. Abidah is a trained barista and is a latte art enthusiast. She enjoys spending time with her family, all things tea, and being in nature.
