Salma El-Ashry

Ms. Salma El-Ashry is a Middle School Math Teacher at Al Fatih Academy where she is inspired by the endless possibilities a quality education can bring to a child. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Temple University, where she was a Math and Science Tutor for college students. She initially began her career in financial management and Islamic nonprofits, but her experience as a STEM tutor and Sunday School Teacher led her to realize that her true passion was in Education. Ms. Salma has been with AFA for 4 years and was previously a 4th-Grade Science and Social Studies teacher. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, baking, traveling, and exploring nature.
