Eman Alwan

Ms. Eman Alwan is a Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher at Al Fatih Academy. She was born in Baghdad, Iraq, and holds a B.A. in Sociology from Mustansiriya University in Baghdad. With over 20 years of experience in education, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for supporting both students and faculty in their daily endeavors. Prior to working at AFA, Ms. Eman served as an instructional assistant for students receiving special education at Forestville Elementary for several years. She has also taught in Montessori settings and served as a teacher for various elementary grade levels. She is certified in Arabic speaking and writing through ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages). Ms. Eman is committed to creating an organized and inclusive environment for all students in her classroom.
