Kareema Dickens serves as a Learning Specialist at Al Fatih Academy. She is passionate about ensuring every child has access to the tools they need to become a confident, capable reader — a mission that aligns deeply with Al Fatih's commitment to nurturing the whole child. She is particularly dedicated to advocating for underserved students who are often undiagnosed in the areas of dyslexia, ADHD and other critical areas of learning.  Kareema holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Western Governors University ('12) with a reading endorsement. She is also a certified structured literacy dyslexia interventionist through the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), a subdivision of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). After a supervision of over 1,000 hours and with over a decade of experience working with neurodivergent learners, she brings both clinical expertise and genuine warmth to her work with students and families. In addition to her role at Al Fatih, Kareema is the founder of Marvelous Kidz LLC, a structured literacy and dyslexia intervention practice that specializes in supporting children of color and equipping their families with the knowledge and tools to advocate effectively for their learners. Kareema enjoys hiking and spending time in nature with her family. She is proud to serve a community she knows well — her own children are Al Fatih alumni.
