Ustadh Ismail ibn Ali is the Head of School, Program Manager for the Center of Innovative Religious Education, and Grade 8 Islamic Studies teacher at Al Fatih Academy. He is a scholar-practitioner who enjoys forging frontiers in Muslim PK-12 and Adult Education spaces. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Florida, a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University, and a Doctorate of Education from the University of Central Florida. Ismail has taught in a variety of public and private PK-12 school settings over the last 15 years. He holds an Administrative Professional Certification for school principalship and is licensed in MS & HS Biology in Maryland, Florida, and Virginia. He is also the Executive Director and a Quranic Arabic Instructor at Fawakih Institute, where he manages the instruction of hundreds of students worldwide as well as the teaching and development of Fawakih’s 6-Level Quranic Arabic Curriculum. He has studied Arabic and various Islamic Sciences on a part-time basis with scholars throughout the DC metropolitan area. Ismail enjoys sports, studying the Islamic tradition, and spending time with his family.
